ANTS:

Camponotus ligniperda is the biggest European species with beautiful colour variations and strong polymorphism. Quite aggressive and full of character ants. This monogyny species, in nature reaches up to 10,000 workers. The colony produces workers of very different sizes and colours with very impressive majors about the size of a queen. Colony might require patience in the initial stages, but develops very nicely when the colony grow. The ants live in forests or open areas with trees and bushes. The colony may stagnate during the winter months, so full hibernation is needed (4-8 ° C). An adult colony will present magnificent in a large wooden nest!
