Camponotus sanctus is a large and very beautiful species from south-east mediterranean area and Middle east. They are very active, aggressive and defensive, but attacks only when disturbing the nest with very powerful mandibles. The queen can reach 20 years and the colony 10-12 thousands of individuals. As the colony matures, large majors, almost the same size as the queen appear. The colony will appreciate relatively high temperature and large range of insects in their diet.
